So we just arrived in Anaheim and we checked into the grand California hotel. First glance was great with the grand lobby entrance. Checkin service was good, and the person even found us a room that has a fireworks view. Very nice service without having to wait too long in line. Now the disappointing part was the actual room. Very 80's feel, stinky, dark, and lacks a $300-$400 price tag. Kids are running around and very excited for the next day. At 10pm, we are woken up to sounds of thunderous fireworks, but we didn't mind because we had a great view from our balcony.
Next morning, we walk out and hit the first restaurant that we see called Catal. I am literally writing this blog from the restaurant. Love the IPhone! I just had a big breakfast with my wife, kids, and sister's family. Breakfast for 8! The atmosphere is great right now. I am hearing Christmas music eating outside in mid 70's weather, overlooking Disneyland. Our server was great and we really enjoyed the sausage links. Price came out to be $90 for 4 adults and 4 kids. Not bad for a resort.
Now, my kids are telling me to stop the blog so we can hit Disneyland. Now, I will be geoblogging my new years vacation with Mickey Mouse in real time on my iPhone. I encourage geobloggers to do the same!
