Plainfield Station Bar & Grill is a little out of the way but the burgers and rural ambiance is completely worth the journey!!! When my friends and I ventured off to Plainfield Station this last Sunday we walked into what felt like a western cowboy movie set. Upon entering the bar & grill, the first thing we saw were about 15 cowboys wearing cowboy hats, chaps, and vests cheerfully eating lunch. The restaurant itself was dimly lit and had various neon beer advertisements, random dollars pinned above the front door, and a goofy Coors ad that consisted of a coyote eating a rubber rooster. There were four or five long wooden community-style tables that fit about 10 people per table as well as pool-tables in the back of the restaurant. The beers I noticed on tap were Sudwerks, Coors, Bud, and Pabst. Plainfield Station doesn't have the best beer selection but they offer cheap beer and DELICIOUS FOOD!!
The burgers are juicy and perfectly grilled and they are incredibly generous with their portions of meat. The fries are large cut, crispy, golden, and fried to perfection. We ordered chili last minute for our fries and this place definitely has the best chili in town!! The workers were friendly and our food came at a reasonable speed. Amazing place for drinks with friends and a fantastic meal! Just remember, that it's CASH ONLY!!!
