It has become routine for my friends and I to enjoy a nice juicy burger and a beer after our strenuous day of classes on hump day. At Mcgees on Wednesday, the special is amazing. $1 burgers, $2 domestics, and $3 imports! With that special, it is not surprising that the place is filled with students and Lincoln Park professionals.
As an avid customer, the only complaint I have is the loud music. So if you are looking for an intimate place for dinner, I do not suggest Mcgees. Yet, if you are in the mood to dance after your meal, there are always people on the dance floor enjoying their hump day!
Furthermore, what I enjoy about Mcgees is the older crowd. Notorious for taking fake ID’s only the true 21+ agers (and a few lucky underage) are able to get in!
Located on Webster and Sheffield, Mcgees has become part of DePaul University's campus.
