About four years ago when I was entering into college, my dad gave me some advice about how to maintain focus and be able to study as many hours as I needed to. His solution was to start drinking coffee. I come from a family that drinks about a pot of coffee per day and swear they cannot go a day without it, but I hated the taste. When my dad told me about the coffee I cringed. There had to be an easier way to get the caffeine I needed to study! For me, I had always enjoyed tea, but tended to put 3 to 4 teaspoons of sugar per each cup I had. I didn't realize there could be a difference in quality, potency and flavor different teas could bring if one just takes the time to look!
The first place I started to go to in my search of finding my coffee alternative is a place called Teavana located inside Bellevue Square on the second floor, near the Puma store, Aveda, and Victoria's Secret. Teavana boasts seven different categories of tea and many different specific teas to choose from in those seven categories. Some of the tea flavors mesh well together and Teavana allows people to "infuse" two teas together to make a really yummy blend iced or hot!
What I didn't realize is that quality in tea really does make a difference when drinking it! I chose to "infuse" the Mate Vana tea with the Rooibos Chai tea. When opening the mix of teas, the overwhelming scent of chocolate is very evident. Being a chocolate lover I couldn't wait to try this new mixture. Since that day four years ago when I first tried that blend of tea, I have not stopped drinking that blend. It has just as much caffeine as a regular cup of coffee but it doesn't have the same bitter taste of coffee. I experienced one of the hundreds of combinations Teavana has to offer and they are sure to have at least one "infused" tea that everyone can enjoy!
