A Date with Norah Jones

Ok, I didn't win an auction or anything but I went to hear, see and experience a concert by Norah Jones and her band at McCaw Hall. It may be counter cultural but going to a movie or dinner by myself is something I enjoy from time to time. Anyway, back to Norah. Somehow, I was able to go after spending good time with family and my lovely wife, Minh, "allowed" me to go see one of my fav musicians. I went to the ticket booth and asked if it was sold out and they said no and that I was lucky because I could even sit in the 3rd row to the side! Yeah, I'm one of those that get so lucky with great seats or parking spots that I think, "God likes me!" Ok, back to Norah again: I love her music and her sultry voice to "folk" jazz. She sang my fav hits from her first album with all those multiple Grammy awards and mixed it in nicely with her new songs. I did "come away with her" to a grand evening on a "date" with Norah.

I am married to an amazing & beautiful wife. I have 5 wonderful kids (11 yr old and under - 2 boys & 3 girls).

BACKGROUND
I have one of those "ultimate immigrant stories." I was born in Hong Kong and came to Seattle at the tender age of 5. My parents were hard working blue-collar folks that sacrificed a whole lot just so we could get a better education and life. Even with this background, I was able to really be an American that sought friends of all colors and ethnicities - some by choice and others naturally.
