As that awful stench leaked out into our living room I was mad. Macey our family’s beautiful Bernese Mountain dog, had a very bad ear infection. This thing was a pit of doom. We had been fighting this ear infection for five months with no results on how to fix it. That is when I urged my mom to use this new vet place that came to our area. It was in a weird location but seemed like a family owned business not like the huge conglomerate that we had been taking her to.

When we arrived at the vet, which used to be a church that had been recently renovated, a sign said “Sawyer Lake Veterinary Hospital”. As we entered the log cabin themed entrance we were greeted by a nice lady who asked us to complete the information form. My mom and I sat down filling in the facts about our dog Macey and I gave the form to the nice lady. After she read through everything and entered the information in the computer, we were whisked into a room and waited for our vet. We only had to wait about three minutes for the vet to come to the room. After checking out and cleaning her ear, the vet took some swabs out of her pocket to get some samples of the gunk.

A few days later the vet contacted us with results. Macey had MRSA, which was very scary. She is on a bunch of meds and doing much better thanks to their diagnosis. If you live in the Black Diamond area and have any pets, including the exotics, bring them in for a helpful and a quick solution to your problem.
