I usually refrain from stumbling into the school library if I can; the too-quiet atmosphere gets to me. But ever since I started living off-campus, I needed a place to spend my hours between classes. Getting some studying done is the most productive means of using this time, and one of the few places I can frequent is the library. Thus, I reluctantly drag me and my books over.
It's really not as bad as I initially thought. I am lost in my own little world when my headphones are plugged in anyway, so I merely sit at a designated computer bobbing my head to the beat. Occasionally, (this comes with being accident prone) I am the person to break the oath of silence: once, my friend came up behind me to say hello and I yelled out in surprise. Another time, unable to ignore my hunger pains any longer, I broke out my lunch and scarfed it down while on the computer. Students within my proximity looked up and stared at my aromatic delights.
Why am I so embarrassing? Perhaps I'll never know.
