As the whistle blew to signal the end of my soccer game at Sand Point, I knew I needed to eat something. After giving high fives and such to the ECFC team that we had tied, my dad and I got into his car and headed in the direction of the U-District. Cruising around Seattle was a confusing labyrinth to me. We saw this perfect looking pizza place. It was small, had a nice sign, but wasn’t a chain restaurant and it had parking.

After parking we went into the pizza palace. I noticed after opening the door that this place was very small and very low-key. It had a décor that included around 50 posters advertising local events that were upcoming. The room had three to four sets of tables with an L shaped higher bar table.

When I looked up to see what they had I realized that this place had many different options to choose from! They had calzones, specialty pizzas and hot sandwiches. After picking two slices of cheese pizza my dad got two slices of a meaty pizza.

Looking through the small amount of seating available, we just picked a table and dove into our food. Be aware with this pizza if you are on a diet or don’t like greasy delicious pizza! Back away before you come in! Some people may try to remove the grease but I thought why would I do that? After biting into the stifling hot pizza, I had to stop for a second and let it cool down because it was burning my mouth. Slowly meandering through the pizza taking bites here and there I finished the epic slice of pizza.

When I had finished I knew that if I was ever in the U-District again, I needed to try those calzone’s because if the pizza is as good as the calzones I had to have one! It goes without saying that I would highly recommend this local, delicious tasting pizzeria!
