I live in the "South Loop." Or I live on the "Near South Side." Neighborhoods in Chicago are strange, and everyone has different perceptions of where the boundries are. Either way you look at it, I think this South Loop restaurant is one of the best - La Cantina. It's at 1911 S. Michigan Avenue, and while this crisp fall weather doesn't allow me to enjoy their outdoor seating available in the summertime, it certainly didn't stop me from enjoying their big strawberry margarita with some delicious Mexican treats.

Chips & guac, tacos, burritos, chimis, quesadillas..... this place has it all, and it's totally accessible by public transit. Just take the #3 or #4 bus straight down Michigan Avenue and jump off at either 18th Street or Cullerton, and you're there!
