Every Thursday night, everyone knows where to go. We all get ready before hand together, me and my girls. Then we head to the Neon Cactus and meet up with everyone. This is the place to be on Thursday nights. It resembles a large club with separate bars within it. In the main room is where you can dance, and trust me everyone is dancing. It is the best place to break it down, even if you can’t dance or if that is too risky for you, people watching is one of my favorite things to do here. You never know what kind of people will come out on Cactus’ nights. One of the best places to get into is the Piano Bar. It is pretty much like a sing along with about 100 of random people. Best part is, if you don’t sing the piano man will call you out. Bruce, the piano man, lives for this. Everyone is into it and so will you be. Drinks are also very cheap. You get a mug and keep filling it up. There is a cover, but it’s worth it.
The only bad side to the Neon Cactus is that there will be a line outside, but usually it moves pretty quickly. This is only an issue in the cold or rain. Also, it is open on Saturdays too. I have never attend on a Saturday, but I do know it is not as lively as Thursdays. If you want to get into the piano bar you also have to get their early, unless you wait in line when you get there. Depending on the night, you can get in rather quick or it may take awhile. All in all, it is a good time, with plenty of interaction.
