With a recent move to a nearby Matador, I find myself wanting to be a regular. It's not my fault they have a amazing daily happy hour. Nor is it my fault that I can walk to the Matador in order to enjoy their White Sangria or beer on tap. Not being a big fan of margarita's I am slowly working my way to acquiring the taste. However, the main reason I do enjoy this candlelit Tex-Mex restaurant is their Monday through Sunday Happy Hour from 4-6PM and 10PM-1AM.

It is a shame that I have memorized the menu and could eat their steak nachos or chipotle wings any day. If that doesn't sound good, try their steak tacos, their salads or even their shrimp quesadillas. I was recently hanging out with a friend who says their calamari is delicious so I will need to try that next. The great thing about their happy hour menu is that they cater to everyone. The menu has meat items, seafood and chicken. Anyone can definitely get their fair share of food for under $20.

I do have to admit that tequila is my liquor of choice and they are a tequila bar. I know most people would say that Patron is the best tequila...let's be real, it only sounds good in the rap songs where it is mentioned. At the Matador, you will find an unlimited amount of different tequilas. Right now my favorite are the Reposado Cazadores and I just recently had a flight of tequila shots which included a Don Julio 1942 (a shot that averages at $24, per shot).

I will admit that I am not a big advocate for the Matador's regular lunch and dinner items, as my experiences have been below average...but try it for yourself and don't miss happy hour.
