I had been looking forward to turning 21 for a while. This past weekend, the day finally came! I am an identical twin, and my family makes the biggest deal out of our birthday every year! We love it. This year, since it was the big 2-1, my parents wanted to plan a big surprise! They most certainly did, too.
The birthday treatment began when my brother payed for my twin and I to get Pedicures and manicures and Zano's Salon and Spa. It was amazing! Now, I am a runner so getting my feet scrubbed and moisturized was the best present I could have asked for. Zano's does an awesome job, and the people were are friendly and welcoming.
Then, Maggie, my twin, and I were going to open presents when our friends and family arrived for dinner, but Mag insisted on opening them before everyone was at our house. So, we did and my parents got us the neatest things. The big gift was the best though. Want to know what it was? A trip to NYC to visit my brothers girlfriend!!! We leave in March. I am so excited! She is one of my favorite people and the most fun to be with. Mag and I both love her to death and can not wait to see her in a few weeks!
Later that evening, we had family and friends over for dinner and presents. It was so fun, but my cheeks hurt from laughing all night!
Overall, It was a fabulous weekend and I am so grateful to have people in my life who always make my birthday special.
