Tagged Places:  The Red Door

I always find that when I am in Houston some of the best bars are hidden away and really the only way you would know about them is either through GeoPage or through other people. This one supports that. Once again it is off a street, but at the back of a sketch parking lot. I did not know what to expect. They have a red carpet that leads to this red door. Once inside it is very contemporary with a round bar, and low cushions to sit on. The best part of this bar though is upstairs. You go upstairs and it leads out on to the roof with tons of seat, and a stage where they have bands play. Also there is another bar. It almost feels like a totally different bar upstairs then downstairs. Downstairs it is dark and more standing room, but upstairs it is more of laidback feel. There is no cover charge which is awesome. The service was excellent and they have an excess of bartenders to serve you. Plus the view is spectacular of downtown
