I went to this bar called Mountain with Eric for Sabrina's 23rd birthday. I've never heard of the place and it took us a while to find it. The bar was literally in the middle of Chinatown in this little plaza. I'm not going to lie. I'm actually quite surprised how many people were at Mountain to party on a Friday night. The place was literally cramped up with people inside and there was still a long line of people waiting to get in to the bar. I think a big part of Mountain's popularity has a lot to do with the fact that there's no cover to get in. Think about it. Who wouldn't want to go party on a Friday night for free, especially when other places charge around $20 just to get in? My point exactly.

The first floor is purely reggae music, while the second floor is old school hip-hop. There are bars on both floors but getting drinks in that place is like busting a mission. A quite difficult mission at that. However, the prices for drinks are average. (Don't quote me on that. I am still unaware of how much I paid for since I charged everything on my card and I was way too gone to even pay attention to my tab.)

The crowd was pretty diverse, in terms of ethnicity, despite the bar being in the middle of Chinatown. However, the ratio of men to women was literally 5 to 1. This place was packed with men. I guess that's cool if you're a single lady trying to have fun with your friends and meet new guys. It's definitely not a couples zone.

The lines for the bathroom were extremely ridiculous. So please make sure you can hold your liquor or else you're going to have a problem waiting in line since there's only one bathroom stall on each floor for men and women.

Basically, if you don't want to pay to get into a bar or a club, Mountain is a cool place to just drink and listen to music. Guys, don't have high expectations of meeting single ladies because you'd have a better chance of finding single men. Ladies, don't drink too much if you have a bad bladder because there's a low chance that you'll actually make it to the bathroom in time.
