A couple of months ago I was watching Guy's Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives on the Food Network. I was pleasantly surprised to see a restaurant from my hometown featured as a "Go To Joints" by Guy Fieri. Of course after seeing that show I had to check the place out! A few weeks later I went back to my hometown to visit my parents. Can you guess where's the first place I wanted to dine at? :)

There are two locations that's on the same street. I happen to go to the one that people normally go to pick up their meals. The other location which is painted a bright green (you def. can't miss it) looks more like a place where you can sit down and eat your meal more comfortably. I also think it's the one that was featured in Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives.

I had ordered the Mofongo, the Bistec Sandwich, and the Ponche. The Mofongo are fried green plantains that are smashed up with fresh garlic and olive oil What's even better is that it's vegan and wheat free. The Bistec sandwich is heaven melted in your mouth. It's like a Puerto Rican version of the Philly Cheesesteak. It's a delectable combination of thinly sliced steak with sauteed onions, avocado, swiss cheese and garlic mayo. The Ponche is their homemade half mango iced tea and half limeade. It's sooooo good!
