When I first came to Seattle I was told that the Space Needle restaurant was a very expensive and luxury place to go but at that time I was a broke student that could only afford some fast food and candy. Times have changed and I am now able to dine in a nicer, higher end restaurants than before. This last year I had the luxury to go to the SkyCity restaurant twice and I loved every minute I spent in it. The first time I went there was when I had my cousin and his friends here in Seattle for a week. Of course everyone had heard about the famous Space Needle and they all wanted to see it. It was going to be my 4th time in there and I was sick of paying the cover and I got creative☺ I went to the information desk and asked them if there was a way to avoid the cover charge for the Needle and sure there was one. The lovely staff explained me that if we are to dine in the SkyCity restaurant we do not need to pay for the observation desk. I offered them to take advantage of this offer so that we can “kill two birds with one stone” that way.
We went at the observation desk first and after they enjoyed the beautiful view of Seattle we were ready to have something to eat. Little did they know that we were about to enjoy even more extravagant view of Seattle and the surrounding area. We were seated and we got to choose the table since they weren’t that busy at that time. We choose table by the windows and we were offered the specials of the day. We got two of them and additionally we ordered their crab melt and crab cakes. I had their SkiCity greens salad that was only $10 and the Washington Dungeness Crab Cakes for $17. So I spent roughly $30 dollars and enjoyed the best food I have had by far instead of paying $16 for the observation desk cover charge that does not include anything else. Sounds like a good deal wait till you hear that you also get a discounted valet parking when dining in the restaurant so that you do not need to worry about parking either. Sound even better right? Sounded good to me and that is why when I was planning my Mom’s stay in Seattle guess what was the first thing on my list – the SkiCity restaurant.
I picked her up from the airport on July 23d and right from there I took her to the best restaurant in town. You know how people say that the first impression is the one that matters the most so I wanted to make sure that her first impression of Seattle was good and not only good but something she can cherish and remember for life. She was stunned with the service and the food. She was so thankful for everything I did that day. And I have to say Thank you one more time SkiCity chefs, servers and other staff for this wonderful time we had and for the deliciousness and great memories that money can’t buy. I would love to hear from you and the experiences you guys had in this awesome restaurant!!!
