Now, I been to this club every now and then, only to watch the best DJ talent in the genre of House and Trance. If you don't like or enjoy the repetitive beats and music styling of this genre, then stop right here and consider another club otherwise you might not enjoy it as much as others.
I'll be honest, this place has its ups and downs. First, I'll talk about the downs.
The crowds are a bit aggressive when it comes to space on the main floor, seeing that most that go here just wanna watch and hear the DJ that they follow as a fan. If you're on the main floor, be prepared for:
*Pushy crowds
*Spilled drinks
*Long long lines at the bar
*Long lines at the bathroom
*Super loud speakers next to your ears (can barely hear your friends)
*Slippery floors
*Crazy dancers
*Overcrowded when there's a huge event, can get very irritating and fights happen this way
That's just the first floor. The second floor:
*More bouncers (if you're too wasted, you'll be booted out of the club, something about liability issues-legal bs)
*Hip Hop room is the smoking room (not a place to be unless you smoke)
*Might crash with the bartenders and barbacks running back and forth. You crash into them, you're outta the club cuz you're considered too drunk.
But I do go back myself for two main reasons which are the upsides:
*Best DJ's go there (For House and Trance music-yes, I'm into that! and NO its not called Techno, get your music right, you don't want to look like an idiot if you're a so called "musician." I seen idiots talk ignorance about music and it's frowned upon.)
*Best sound system ever for this type of music.
But be warned!!!
Don't go there if you wanna talk about your day or your relationship problems because you won't be heard. Go to a bar for that.
Don't go there to pick-up on people. The people there are seriously picky and usually uptight. You have a better chance if you look like a model.
Don't expect to hear Hip Hop or that Top 40. You're at the wrooooong place buddy.
Be prepared to drop lots of money. The drinks are expensive. If you go with a group, I highly suggest a table. It's about the same price if you all split it and you get a huge vodka bottle and your own place to sit down.
Dress to impress. No hip hop or sneakers. Again, wrong club.
If you're on the guestlist, get there before it opens. Otherwise, it'll get super packed 15 minutes before it opens and the lines are seriously slow. Don't expect to get in with your name on the list.
Don't piss off the bouncers. They get shit from everyone everyday and any bit of disrespect and you're pretty much banned, unless the owner is part of your family. You will be remembered!
Once you have gotten enough hearing impairment, there's a 24 hour jack in the box across the street, always packed. Waiting line is 10 minutes for food after ordering. There's also 3 diners within sight, Lori's Diner. Cafe Mason, and Pinecrest Restaurant. I go to Cafe Mason instead. Better food and faster service. Everyone there is wasted so if you get irritated easily, leave!
But I still go there, just for the music though. It's impossible for me to get any girls numbers there even if my life depended on it. I have better luck at a dive bar with bad lighting during last call from a girl thats lost her corrective glasses with a fake e-mail address. (Trust me, its happened to me before.) :(
Have fun though!
