Last weekend I decided to go home from school and spend a bit of time with the family. Yes at the age of 21 I still get a bit homesick every once in a while and need that little bit of loving from the family. My Dad, excited to have both of his kids home, suggested a family dinner, something we all love. We are lucky enough to live in a town with plenty of restaurants, but can never seem to pick which one to go to. To be honest, we usually end up at our favorite: Chili's. However, tonight we found ourselves at 94 West. A bit of a more upscale restaurant in the Orland area, 94 West is known for their mouth watering steaks. It was perfect then for me and my love of steak. I ordered the filet mignon which came with breaded shrimp and a double baked potato. My brother ordered the same and we were both extremely satisfied with out choices. My Dad continued to rave about his steak through out the entire dinner which made us all laugh. He is a simple man that takes the best out of simple things, a good steak is enough to make his entire day. The decor was dim and elegant and the restaurant was not too noisy which made for a perfect environment for a family catch up dinner. All in all it was a lovely dinner to add to the list.
