Steak’em Classy, Trendy

My boyfriend and I happened to more frequent Bellevue recently and it has been a great joy for us to discover our new favorite places in Bellevue. One of them is Joey’s in Lincoln Square.

We went there, for the first time, a couple Saturdays ago for dinner and it instantly got bumped up to our new Bellevue favorite! Five Stars!

I know. Hearing so many deliciousness about this place, I am not sure why we haven’t been there until a couple weeks ago. We thought it was just another pricey steak house with a different name…but it very much wasn’t.!

We had Wild Creamy Mushroom Soup for an appetizer and then moved on to Chinatown Lettuce Wraps and Peppercorn New York Steak for entrees. We both took a risk ordering something out of our comfort zone, but we were absolutely satisfied with our orders.

The Mushroom soup was delightfully creamy and Lettuce wraps was so tasty that we couldn’t keep my hands off of the plate. It was liberally topped with loads of roasted peanuts and cilantro, both of which is my favorite ingredients along with chicken. And the crispy lettuce provided the delicious blanket for the spicy chicken and the marinated veggies mix. The Peppercorn NY was excellent, too. I generally try to avoid a steak that is marinated or dipped into sauce, but this peppercorn NY was quite an exception. This cream cheese type of sauce made the steak taste much more tender and rich.

We concluded our dinner with Chocolate & Banana Bread Pudding, which was an underscore to our amazing dinner!

For the entire dinner, our server was very friendly and prompt at our orders and other requests.

Most of all, I was fascinated by Joey’s own classy and trendy atmosphere that made us feel private yet special.

I hear that their Mashed Potatoes is exceptional. I have had the best at the Daniel’s Broiler and let’s see who got a better potato!
