Green Ribbon Commission

While the bridge is closed we will focus on island business… sustainable prosperity, step by step. Think of it as slow fireworks.

Plan to attend this Monday, July 6th a community meeting of Mercer Island’s newly formed Green Ribbon Commission.

The Commission is launching two new initiatives to help Islanders reduce carbon emissions and save money. We will be forming two citizen committees to develop and implement action plans to help Islanders reduce household energy use and make more sustainable transportation choices. Presenters include former Mayor of Mercer Island and Green Ribbon Commission Executive Board Chairman, Elliot Newman, and representatives from Puget Sound Energy.

Join us at the Community Center. This Monday evening 5:00-7:00.
