Since this seems to be a site where people speak of their culinary and cultural likes, I find it most appropriate to speak of a movie I saw last night. Let me at least try to do it in GeoPage format. ;) I went to Desi Spice last night where they serve great Indian food in a low-key atmosphere. I ordered chana masala, tarka daal and a few other other side dishes to share with my dining companion and went downstairs to Landmark Theater to see Food Inc., an independent film which unveils our nation's food industry. Issues like genetic engineering, cloning, environmental, farm worker protection, foodborne illnesses, pesticides, etc. were all highlighted. A very thought provoking film that I hope brings consciousness to consumers. Go see it!
