Ever have a night when you feel up to a steep challenge? Feigning for a challenge that most never accomplish? Well if you thrive off of competition and are up to the stereotypical restaurant challenges, Piper’s Lounge is the place for you. Hamburger, fry, or some food competition you may think, but Piper’s is an intense drinking competition that brings friends together in a binge you will never forget.

Located in the booming downtown area of Moscow, Idaho lays a local pub, Piper’s Lounge. The Ladder is the challenge you partake in here at anytime of the day or night, you name it, it’s on. You start out with a 64 ounce fishbowl, next is the 32 oz. cup followed by the 22 oz then, yes there’s more, a pint a beer topped off with a 10 oz. and then a shot of beer. Your selection of beer ranges from the stereotypical domestics; Bud Light, Busch Light (Pullman water), PBR and Kokanee.

I was peer pressured into accomplishing The Ladder by my girl friend and her friends, so we smashed into two cars and rallied on over to Moscow. I had jitters the second we left our house till we pulled up to the shanty building. I ordered the glorious Pullman water (Busch Light) and began my Ladder experience. With a group of about 15 of us, the chatter was nothing less than a group of 13 year old girls gossiping about the boy they saw in the hall last period. We were having a great time, while spending only $13 which you can’t find at any bar anywhere in the area. The all time record is held by a fellow friend, finishing The Ladder in 19 minutes and 36 seconds, yes 96oz of alcohol in that short amount of time. I by no means was racing for that, I just wanted to finish. Indeed, I did finish along with the other two guys there while the girls, well, I think you can finish the sentence yourself.

Nonetheless, The Ladder was quite the experience, something anyone in the Moscow/Pullman area MUST do before they end their time down here. I don’t recommend making this a weekly event but you gotta try it just once to say you did it. Don't forget a DD!!

My passion is soccer and hope to some day coach. I enjoy skimboarding out at Dashpoint and Cabo San Lucas because I feel as though I can escape reality and just enjoy myself and the next wave.

I love going to Wazzu, meeting people, festering at the frat when I have time to stop by, food, traveling, Cabo San Lucas and Costa Rica.

I love music because it brings back specific memories and creates new memories to come. I like to listen to these bands especially; Pink Floyd, Atmosphere, Tom Petty , Red Hot Chili Pep, MURS, The Doors, Classic rock especially , Phoenix, Johnny Cash. Basically any form of music besides country.

Office Space, The Trumanshow, Seinfeld , Dexter, South Park, Family Guy, The Office, Entourage, Curb Your Enthusiasm
