Since Ruby Skye normally hosts events for the 21 and up crowd (I'm at the middle age of 20...where you can't do anything that you could do when you turn 18, and STILL can't drink, gamble, etc.), I seized the opportunity upon hearing that DJ Steve Aoki would be playing at this venue. I LOVE electronica music; something in it is present that the strong bass in hip hop clubs just don't deliver. The $30 total ticket --after fees and whatnot-- was a little steep for my college-student budget, but it was winter break, and a place I've never gone before. I was not disappointed. The night was filled with friendly strangers, great lights, and a DJ who really knew how to work the crowd. My friends and I were raving about it for weeks thereafter, and the next time another opportunity arises, we will be the first ones to buy tickets.
