Top of the Class for New Courses in Washington!

Receiving many accolades for its opening year, Palouse Ridge Golf Course was ranked #2 for America’s Best New Course by GolfWeek’s Best and by Golfers Digest for the 2009 year. Where the heck is Palouse? For all you crazy and true Coug fans out there, this course resides in Cougar Country of Pullman, Washington.
Over here in Pullman, we are restricted to very few activities outside of bar hopping, fraternity parties and the occasional release to the real world of Western Washington, other than that there is nothing to do. Washington State University finally allotted some money to upgrading the school golf course last year, and I will be the first to say they actually did this course right! With the gorgeous spring weather spitting through my trees outside my house and a split in between homework and tests, I snatched up the opportunity to hit the links.
With my slightly short clubs over my shoulder and a Chewy bar in my hand, I hopped into Big John’s red Durango and we were off to the new course. John had played the course a few times last year and informed me that we would be playing an extremely difficult course and told me to expect a devastating score, especially since this would be only my second time golfing this season. Our tee time was at 3:12 don’t ask me why they didn’t just move it to 3:15, but it was perfect timing. Sun perched in the sky, green course in front of us and a slight breeze from the east couldn’t have staged better golf weather!
Long, long, long holes with treacherous wheat fields lying to each side of fairway makes this round a difficult one with any type of slice of the ball. This course is fit for only straight shooters anything less than good accuracy you will find you ball hiding in the long grass. What is cool about this course is that the majority of the course is above all the other rolling hills of the Palouse, so the scenery is to die for. Most courses in Washington have copious amounts of wooded areas and ponds to avoid, but here be weary of the flowing golden brown wheat and grass everywhere!
Overall, this course was amazing, inexpensive and had impeccable service, food and views!!

About Me

I enjoy going on adventures, doing random activities, listening to all sorts of music, going to The Coug when I am in Pullman , Frisbee golf especially when the weather is nice.

My passion is soccer and hope to some day coach. I enjoy skimboarding out at Dashpoint and Cabo San Lucas because I feel as though I can escape reality and just enjoy myself and the next wave.

I love going to Wazzu, meeting people, festering at the frat when I have time to stop by, food, traveling, Cabo San Lucas and Costa Rica.

I love music because it brings back specific memories and creates new memories to come. I like to listen to these bands especially; Pink Floyd, Atmosphere, Tom Petty , Red Hot Chili Pep, MURS, The Doors, Classic rock especially , Phoenix, Johnny Cash. Basically any form of music besides country.

Office Space, The Trumanshow, Seinfeld , Dexter, South Park, Family Guy, The Office, Entourage, Curb Your Enthusiasm
