I was born in Incheon, S. Korea and came to the US when I was 4 years old. I was raised in the typical "immigrant" life of the poor, non-English speaking environment, and I learned quickly how to adjust to the American life.
I took advantage of the many opportunities that American public schools have given me such as sports, clubs, and leadership skills that have helped me improve and inspire me in the work I'm doing today.
Specifically, I had an opportunity through my high school to work as a intern at a hospital. At the hospital, one day, they needed people to help out the pediatric physical therapist. All the therapist and I did was play with the kids and I thought that would be the coolest job ever!
My bigger dream is to pursue business as well and eventually open up YMCAs throughout 3rd world countries to provide jobs for people and a community home for the youth.
