About Me
Title: Real Estate Developer
Organization: N & C Investment

Thach Nguyen is director of investor and customer relationships, visionary, and property acquisition director for N&C Investments LLC, a socially responsible real estate development firm helping first-time buyers and working families by building economical mixed-use projects.

A philanthropist and motivational speaker, Nguyen is also co-founder of L & N Investment LLC a single-family homebuilder that annually builds modestly priced homes in South Seattle neighborhoods. The 37-year-old real estate investor also owns single-family, apartment and commercial properties.

A Vietnamese refugee who once lived in a homeless shelter, Nguyen became a real estate agent with Windermere Real Estate in 1991. Through his legendary determination and persistent door knocking, he became one of Washington state’s top real estate producers, annually selling more than 70 homes a year. Nguyen later joined John L. Scott Real Estate. He became a millionaire at age 27, three years ahead of his aggressive schedule.

Nguyen began acquiring property and started building single-family homes, townhomes, apartment buildings and commercial properties in 1998. He is one of the visionaries behind the moda Condominiums, a 251-unit mixed-use development in downtown Seattle. Nguyen is also developing two 101-unit mixed use apartment projects in downtown Renton.

The moda Condominium project is receiving national attention for its economical construction. In an attempt to offer units with high-end amenities at a reasonable cost, the project offers 300-square-foot condos for $149,950. Moda, slated to open in fall 2008.

Driven by a need to help others, Nguyen created the American Dream program in conjunction with Seattle’s First Place School to help homeless families. Since its founding in 2003, the program has helped 25 homeless families move into permanent housing. As an advisory board member and contributor to First Place, Nguyen is also helping the agency turn its parking lot into 40 to 50 permanent housing units.

Nguyen is married, has two young children and lives in Seattle.
