I came to the US of A when I was a wee lass of 3, where I lived in the Bronx. Five years baby! So I like to say I'm "Jenny from the Block".
Anyway I left the Bronx for Seattle, where I went to three different elementary schools. I went Bellevue High, but I left high school early to take advantage of the opportunities at the University of Washington.
While flipping through the Welcome Edition for freshmen, I saw an ad for a sales rep. I applied. I got the job. I sold my little heart out like a mad woman and made a Daily record!
This summer, I was promoted to Advertising Manager after Susie graduated. I've been in the position for only 3 months now, and it's proving to be incredibly challenging. It's my first time in management, and I'm still finding the line between strict, too strict, motivating, and too lax. The upcoming year looks extremely hopeful - I'm planning to do some new things at the Daily, do a lot of marketing/PR with our new department, and have my amazing team of ad reps sell like crazy!
I also fence competitively at a private club in Bellevue called Rain City Fencing Center. I've been fencing about 3 years and want to really rock the National Circuit this year! I'll be going to Atlanta (again) for a Div I/Junior tournament and then San Jose for Summer Nationals 08!
In my other (scarce) spare time I act like a mouse and nibble at everything.
