Gourmet Mediterranean at the hub of SOMA's Design District.
January 22, 2007

In Short:
This unique outpost near the San Francisco Design Center features a modest, strip-mall exterior and expansive, well-decorated space within. Mid-century modern furnishings include low, round tables surrounded by hand-sewn floor cushions on a clay floor. Menu items include fresh falafel, kebabs, latkes, shawarma and lots of house-made Mediterranean sauces and spreads. Counter service means food comes fast.

hands down and thanks for the server who made the event a delightful experience.
It was pretty delicious food, amazing kebab plate.

If you want a fresh homemade baklava this is the place, they have pistachio or walnut beside the fresh mozzarella w/ricotta Konafa, yummy

Pros: Very solid mediterranian
Cons: Weird neighborhood

Pros: Best Mediterranean Soups & Desserts
Cons: I wish it was in the Mission

A group of 6, came here Wednesday night, the night before thanksgiving, we had the following:
Salmon fillet plate, Latkes (potato pancakes), Grilled Chicken kebab plate, Grilled Lamb kebab plate, Prawn kebab, the Shawerma plate & 2 large ball of Shrimp Saffron soup with asparagus.

For dessert: Pistachio Baklava, Walnut Baklava, Saffron rice pudding & sesame cookies with Pistachio.

Amazing 10 out of 10 on a 10 scale.

that is the only thing I could say.
I thought to share it with the community.

Greek mediterranean food is one of my favorite I have tried pretty much everything that is on the menu, prices are pretty reasonable . This place would rate among the best I've tried. The place looks great, ingredients are so fresh that you could tell from the first look. The place is spotless, I strongly recommend it, try the kebab they have 4 or 5 types, you can go wrong with any, oh Falafel is just amazing and the shawerma oh baby, and do NOT forget their desserts just to die for wheeh.

Pros: What to say but great
Cons: bummer they close @9.00P

Know Before You Go:

Med plates here come a bit pricier than usual, which means your bill is slightly hefty for lunch, but more in line with what one would expect to pay for dinner.

The Extras:

All meat is halal (ritually approved by Islamic law).
