If you know anything about bars, when you open a tab they pre-authorize your card for $30 to make sure you have some money in your account to pay for your drinks. It shows up as $30 for a day or two until the actual amount you charged clears. So whether you charge $2 or $200, it will say $30 until the actual charge clears so RELAX and let your charge go through before you complain.
