Welcome to United Martial Arts, Inc. & Chinese Qigong!At United Martial Arts we focus on both Internal and External disciplines. We teach the External styles to develop rooting the body, and making it one with the Earth by creating harmony in balance, coordination, endurance, snap, and power. We teach the Internal styles to increase and balance oxygenation, circulation, lymphatic flow, and to elevate the body's energy (Chi).Through the External styles of Kong Su and Tae Kwon Doe, you develop your basic strikes and blocks with the arms and legs. Hapkido (Aikido) and Judo?rolling and falling techniques?develop grappling and joint locking techniques, submissions, for in close encounters and using an opponent's power against themselves. The second level of training utilizes Kung Fu short forms to develop connective strength between all joints and tissue symmetrically (right and left sides of the body, internally and externally).An example of this may be one form having 9 steps on the left and then another 9 steps on the right duplicating the same movements. At this level there are 50 totally different forms to Black Belt.The third level of training includes your Kung Fu Animal and Element Forms of 108 steps or ideas, and more. These include instruction in Hung Gar, Five Animal/Five Element, and Northern Style Long Fist. Forms based on nature such as the ocean or mountains are also included at this level. Forms at this level require an exceptional amount of mental and physical development well beyond the second level.The fourth level of training includes Internal Training such as Tai Chi (Yang, Wu, Chen), Doh Yi Qi Gong, and Emei BaguaZhang. These forms develop the body from inside to increase health and longevity.The fifth level consists of weapons training, both bladed and non-bladed. These forms develop a totally different aspect of physical and mental training in that you are now making the weapon an extension of your body. Learn, improve, and build confidence, patience, self empowerment, self respect, and determination.
