"All-Natural Beef. No Artificial Anything. The Best in NY!"

Since opening its first location in June 2004 New York Burger Co. has transformed the way New Yorkers view fast food introducing, them to tastier and healthier meals than those offered by the big chains. At New York Burger Co. we prepare all our food with great care, meaning: we charcoal-grill our burgers to order, freshly cut our fries, compose our salads on the spot, and create our signature sauces on premeses. We know that hi-quality foods demand hi-quality ingredients, so we use Coleman Natural Beef for our burgers and chilis, Bell & Evans free-range chicken in our sandwiches, and cholesterol free soybean oil for our French fries and award-winning onion rings. What's more, all of our ingredients are preservative free - part of why our food tastes so good. Our counter service allows us to prepare our high-quality food quickly.

Char-grilled burgers with a gourmet touch on Madison Square Park.

In Short
Mid-century modern decor sets the stage for an ambitious approach to burgers; high-grade ingredients, like Coleman natural beef, homemade sauces and brioche-style buns, complete the picture. The six-ounce patties arrive plain or with toppings like mango salsa and cucumber-mint-yogurt sauce, or in an assortment of specialty styles, like Chicago (bacon, cheddar, Thousand Island dressing) and Dallas (onions and barbecue sauce). Fries, smoothies and salads round out the meal.

DO NOT EAT HERE
August 16, 2009
(1.0 / 5 stars)

I ate at the location on 6th Ave, just a few blocks south of the Best Buy. Felt a bit nauseous a few hours later, and this ended up lasting over a week! Clearly, their meat was undercooked, as I was not able to resume normal eating for this period. I would advise anyone looking for a burger to try a different place.

I love the Chicago burger!!! the place wasnt packed but yet again it was 9PM; the service was a bit slow but the wait was worth it!
My burger was to die for - the onion rings weren't that great so I ended up eating my friends fries! :-)
love love love it!!!

Pros: public transporation,
Cons: slow service, stay away from onion rings

Not much better than McDonalds

We tried this after reading many good reviews and frankly their was nothing I liked about this restaurant. The burger was not great. It feels like McDonalds. The establishment was dirty and the staff did not really care. if you want a quick good burger try Good Burger, Zip Burger or myriad other places before this mediocre restaurant.

my mom and i went after not being able to get a table at mrkt next door... weren't really looking to find anything to eat since she and i both were on a limited diet.. she found a garden salad that was probably nothing to scream about even though she enjoyed it.. but i got a veggie burger that was to die for!! it came with cucumber dill yogurt sauce and since i'm very "saucy".. i was in heaven with the unlimited toppings that were available.

Pros: great veggie burger, great unlimited toppings
Cons: seats are sort of dirty, overpriced

Worst burger ever!

We read reviews of this place and we were excited to go to New York Burger Co. to get natural, no preservatives ingredients in the meat, etc. But the fries were horrible, the burger and bread were dry. Any diner in the city will serve you a much better burger. If you are looking for a healthy and juicy burger go to Better Burger, they are the best. Besides, NY Burger Co is supposed to close at 10:45 according to Citysearch. We were still eating at 10:20 when one of the employees started to sweep the floor and the table with the same broom! Disgusting! To be sweeping up while customers are still eating is not only offensive but it likely breaks health codes. Sorry, but we're not going back...

I ROCK this place at least 3 TIMES A WEEK!!

I love this place!! The burgers are great and I love the fact they have everything (Toppings, grill, sandwich construction) out in plain site! Seems like they have nothing to hide. Thank God they deliver up here, too!! I see a good amount of people ordering salads too, which I enjoy also.

You can keep your frozen, microwaved dollar menu!! LOL

Pros: Great Food, Delivery

Go to McDonald's or Jackson Hole
May 01, 2007
(2.0 / 5 stars)

You'll get better deal from any other fast food restaurants. However, if you want some decent/good burgers then go to Jackson Hole instead of this place. This place is too pricy to be fast food restaurant. It's not really restaurant/diner like either. I wouldn't go again.

Pros: Unlimited sauces and soda?
Cons: Pricy, slow service

Pricey but SO worth it

(5.0 / 5 stars)

Not sure what that person down there was talking about (burger sat under a heat lamp for 15-20 min) because everytime we've gone our burgers were made when we ordered them. A little pricey for burgers but its SO worth it. You actually feel like you're eating meat and not gross oil-soaked patties. We keep going everytime we're hungry and in Chelsea.

Pros: burgers are delish
