Best patio dinig

I went to piatti last night for the first time in five years. I heard they had re-modeled and hoping against hope that there was now someplace cool in Marin (next to impossible) I dropped in with a friend to check it out. The bar was amazing! packed, beautiful, yummy piadina. We quickly took our drinks outside however as the sun was setting behind mt. tam and the day had warmed up to a perfect 75 degrees. After the sun set ur waiter kindly asked if we'd like to stay outside (we did) and turned on the heat lamps. We enjoyed a lovely caesar salad and pork chop special (mission figs and red wine reduction) in the twilight anda then moved back inside for some more bar action. Service was impeccable, food outstanding. Not sure how long this is going to last but folks, we officially have a cool place to go to in Marin.

Pros: bar, food, patio, service
Cons: a little loud, bathroom is outdated

Nice Location Next to Water

The interior is very nice, parking easy, on Richardson Bay, full bar, great bread and olive oil based dip. The food is only fair. The service was acceptable. The price is much too high for the quality of the food. It is worth the drive from Marin to SF to get better Italian food, but it's fine for a chain restaurant and an emergency.

Pros: Great location next to Hwy 101
Cons: Below average food

for an unsatisfying dining experience

I can honestly say I will never order food from Piatti's again. 9 times out of 10, my pick up order has been wrong (always missing something). Also when phoning in the order, I was always met with a rude voice on the other end. I do not recommend this place to anyone.

Great Anniversary
March 26, 2003
(4.5 / 5 stars)

I took my wife for our anniversary and we were very pleased. We had the Agnelo Stuffato, which was so tender we didn't need the steak knives they provided. I was also very pleased to see that even though it was an upscale crowd and very packed on a Wednesday, that they were only happy to have our 2 year old daughter there. Very nice staff!

Pros: Great Food, Kid friendly
