The Kingdome's open-air replacement gives Seahawks fans a seat in the sun, or rain.
August 08, 2005
(4.0 / 5 stars)

The Venue
Capacity stretches to more than 72,000, making this an ideal venue not only for the Seahawks, but for summer concerts and Sounders soccer games as well. Roughly 70 percent of the seats are located under one of the roof overhangs, but all seats are exposed to the elements to one degree or another. Among the vendors, local flavor is provided by hometown favorites such as Kidd Valley, Ivar's, Porter's Barbeque and Saigon Bistro.

The Experience
There's an air of excitement around the stadium--and it's contagious. True-blue (and green) Seahawks fans are especially energetic--expect face paint and "The Wave" to make hearty comebacks this season.

Verizon Users Beware!
August 09, 2006
(4.0 / 5 stars)

I guess it has something to do with the Quest in Quest Field, but my Verizon phone, and none of my friends verizon phones, worked when we were there for the DC United/Real Madrid game. That's a real problem when we use our mobiles like walkie talkies to find each other in the concourses (which are really big!) Although, on the 300 level, the concourses are too small to walk through, with the stadium at capacity (67,000!!!), it took a while to find eachother!

Phones involved: Motorla RAZR, Q, and some clamshells.

Has anyone else experienced this???

I was able to make a call go through after trying for 5, somtimes 10 minutes, and i had 2 bars of reception! It's the middle of seattle! No service? Seems a little fishy...

My husband and I are season ticket holders, so we buy the cheap seats. Guess what~were in the "Hawks Nest" and couldn't have greater seats! We went to the opening game of pre-season and had a great time. Would recommend families attend games, yeah the food is kind of expensive, but hey thats expected, isn't is? Have Fun!

Pros: Great Stadium, Great View, Location
Cons: Expensive

Opening Game 8/10/02

Advice from someone who learned the hard way - put up the bucks for the good seats. We sat in the $30 seats and ended up in the very last row at the top of the stadium. Vendors don't venture up there, so you have a long walk for food; you only get a view of one of the screens for replays; the board that actually lists the score and down is rather small; and the acoustics are a nightmare. The shape of the stadium makes it one huge echo chamber if you're up in the top seats. The sound of the crowd is deafening and you can barely hear the announcer because of the feedback and echo. Finally, all those TV monitors positioned throughout the stadium that they were yapping about? They show ads and menus for the food stands.

Pros: Lots of restrooms., Good overall location, Nice atmosphere.
Cons: Terrible acoustics., Terrible food stands., No parking info.

Although I prefer just 1 stadium to avoid simultaneous Seahawks and Mariner games (TRAFFIC!!)... I do like the stadium and I believe it adds value to the city. It's a great looking stadium.

I went when they had the open house and again to the scrimmage on Saturday. There's not a bad seat in the house. My favorite vendor is "McCoy's Firehouse" - Crystal McCoy is a terrific lady and her food is wonderful!

Some of the best seats in the stadium are the cheapest. This place is going to be a blast for years to come! It will be incredibly loud because the stadium is so compact! The upper level is very high and I wouldn't reccomened purchasing tickets any higher than row 15 in the top deck especially with kids under 10.

Pros: nice, close, great atmosphere
Cons: Club seats expensive

Bird poops gotta go!
August 06, 2002
(3.0 / 5 stars)

I think it's a great stadium, except for the bird droppings you will find in the upper level seats, toward the north entrance. My friends have season tickets for those seats and when they went to the scrimage game they couldn't even sit in their seats because of the mess!

Pros: It's new!, Great layout, wide concourses
Cons: Bird poop, EXPENSIVE FOOD
