Disappointed

I called to inquire about cupcakes for a party. Commented that I wanted something better than the store bought offering. Commented that I HATE butter cream and all of the junk that can be loaded into it. . The rep I talk to assured me their butter cream was good, not greasy. I ordered 24 cupcakes.

Picked them up 2 days later brought them home and tried one. It took my lipstick right off. My hubby not believing my claim entirely (After all I had talked to the bakery staff and I tend to be very direct/specific ) was surprised to see how 1) the stuff would not break up in hot water and 2 how water beaded up on my hands when I rubbed frosting between them. Not greasy? SIGH!

Wanting to "believe" I called and said ok hey tell me what is in here. What are we eating. The bakery employee gladly read off a list of ingredients but could not confirm what some were (were they all pure vegetable shortenings I had asked)

Though the cake itself was quite good I threw them all out.

I have no cupcakes for my 10am party tomorrow.I will have to make apologies as I will have nothing to bring..

Don't quote them

While they're cakes are very good, be careful when pricing out the cakes if you call. They mis-quoted me on both cakes I priced out so when I ordered the appropriate days in advance I was paying 50% more. They would not work with me to figure out why or do any adjustment for the mistake. There was one specific thing I knew might cost more and I asked directly about it and got the misquote.

A bit of heaven on a fork...

A couple years ago I was at a wedding and the bride was so excited to have her cake made by Jarosch. When I finally took my first bite, it was amazing. Each piece was so thick with layers, each made from a different type of cake. It was like having a buffet of all the best cakes on one plate. Jarosch has become a favorite amongst our family and friends ever since.
